WILL PROVIDE THE REAL TIME GOES SATELLITE SERVICES TO THE AWIPS PROGRAM BEGINNING WITH THE NESDIS SWITCH OVER /IE.... GINI1 TO GINI2/ OF THE GOES 10 /WEST/ DATA APPROXIMATELY 1600Z SEPTEMBER 27... AND THE GOES 8 /EAST/ DATA APPROXIMATELY 1600Z SEPTEMBER 29... 1999. NOTE THAT THIS INCREMENTAL IMPLEMENTATION WILL CAUSE THE NESDIS GENERATION OF PARTIAL COMPOSITE PRODUCTS FOR THE GOES EAST USERS UNTIL THE SEPTEMBER 29TH SWITCH OVER OF THE GOES 8 DATA. GINI2 INCLUDES SEVERAL ENHANCEMENTS... GINI2 SECTOR CORNER POINTS HAVE BEEN FINE TUNED AND THE REMAPPING PROCESS ON GINI2 IS NOW BASED ON AN ELLIPTICAL EARTH MODEL. ALSO...
