GOES-10 North-South Station Keeping maneuver will be performed on Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at 2002 UTC. For National Weather Service operations: The backup date, and last window of opportunity (final date) for this maneuver is Thursday, June 13, 2002. If the NWS regions have any operational concerns, please contact the NCEP SDM (301-763-8298) at least 6.5 hours prior to the maneuver time. On June 11, the following exclusive schedule will be employed to support maneuver operations: (*PLEASE NOTE the scheduled GOES-8 Full Disk scan period to support the primary GOES-10 outage during the maneuver.*) Maneuver Schedule starts at 1651 UTC on June 11, 2002. Southern Hemisphere scan at 1652 UTC is canceled.

From 0000 UTC through 0659 UTC (June 12) -- GOES-10 Post Maneuver
Recovery Including: Abbreviated Full Disk Images (19 minute scan) at XX00 Northern Hemisphere Images at XX30 CONUS Soundings at XX01 0700 UTC (June 12) -- GOES-10 Routine Scan Operations Resume Expect GOES-10 imager and sounder gridding offsets for up to 24 hours following the maneuver.
