588 NOUS72 KNCF 241815 ADMNCF PLEASE PASS TO MIC, HIC, ESA, ITO, AND SOO ~ SUBJ: FALL 2003 GOES KEEP-OUT TIMES ~ FROM NOW THROUGH OCTOBER 30, 2003, THERE WILL BE PERIODS OF TIME NIGHTLY WHERE EITHER GOES-EAST AND/OR GOES-WEST IMAGERY WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE DUE TO THE GOES SATELLITES PASSING THROUGH EARTH'S SHADOW. WHILE ONE SATELLITE IS IN ECLIPSE, THE OTHER WILL COMPENSATE BY WIDENING ITS IMAGE. THIS IS A NORMAL OCCURRENCE EVERY SPRING AND FALL.
