ON TUESDAY...FEBRUARY 22 2005 AT 1200 UTC DESIGNATED WEATHER FORECAST OFFICES /WFO/ IN THE CONTIGUOUS UNITED STATES AND THE STATE OF HAWAII WILL DISCONTINUE ISSUING STATE AREAL OUTLINE STATEMENTS /SLS/ TO DEPICT COUNTIES AND INDEPENDENT CITIES IN INITIAL SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND TORNADO WATCH AREAS FOR THEIR STATE OR STATES. ON TUESDAY...FEBRUARY 22 2005 AT 1200 UTC ALL WFOS IN THE CONTIGUOUS UNITED STATES AND THE STATE OF HAWAII WILL DISCONTINUE ISSUING SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENTS /SPS/ TO CANCEL COUNTIES AND INDEPENDENT CITIES FROM SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND TORNADO WATCH AREAS.
