FROM: John H. Ward Chief, Production Management Branch 1. The resolution increase of the Rapid Update Cycle (RUC) from 20 to 13 km has been scheduled for Tuesday, 28 June. There will be no change in format or content of forecast model output. At some point in the future, 13 km output will become available. 2. In mid-July, the resolution of the Global ensembles will increase from T62 to T126 for forecast hours 180 to 384. There will be no change in product format or content. 3. In late June, Short Range Ensemble products for Alaska and Hawaii will be made available. 4. On Tuesday, 28 June all MRF products will be removed from the NCEP and TOC ftp servers. 5. The Snow system was returned to service on Monday, 16 May, three weeks ahead of schedule. For the week, some additional tuning may be required, which may result in short interruptions in availability. <snip>
