The NOAA National Weather Service MicroART upper air system at Valley, Nebraska (WMO # 72558), will be decommissioned on or about September 14, 2007, and installation of the new Radiosonde Replacement System (RRS) will begin. No upper air observations will be provided from this office while RRS is being installed. Beginning September 24, 2007, or shortly thereafter, upper air observations will be issued using the RRS and GPS Mark IIA Sippican radiosondes.
