A regional Critical Weather Day (CWD) has been declared to run
from 1000 UTC (6 AM EST) Sunday August 17, 2008 through 0000 UTC (08 PM EST Wednesday) Thursday August 21, 2008. NCEP, NWSTG, NWS Southern Region and NCF will participate in this CWD to ensure a reliable flow of data. The CWD is in effect due to the potential impact of the tropical system, Fay, on Florida and the Florida Keys.
