REFER TO NWS INSTRUCTION 10-310 FOR STANDARD PROCEDURE GOVERNING SURF ZONE FORECASTS AT /USE LOWER CASE LETTERS/: HTTP://WWW.NWS.NOAA.GOV/DIRECTIVES/SYM/PD01003010CURR.PDF THE SURF ZONE IS THE AREA OF WATER BETWEEN THE HIGH WATER /OR TIDE/ LEVEL ON THE BEACH AND THE SEAWARD SIDE OF BREAKING WAVES. THE SRF HAS BEEN ISSUED BY SELECT COASTAL WFOS SINCE 2002. WSO BARROW WILL BE THE FIRST ALASKA OFFICE TO ISSUE THE SURF ZONE FORECAST.
