-------- Original Message -------- Update on TDWR SPG Product Distribution 30 January 2009 NEW UPDATE AS OF 1/30/09: 1. Beta Test of TDWR SPG Product Distribution Update. a. Products from 7 Beta Test sites are being collected.b. Connection to the New York City (TJFK) TDWR SPG, planned to be a part of the Beta Test, is still pending. We will announce, in advance, when data will begin flowing from the site.
2. Implementation of Data Flow from Remaining Sites.a. The NWS intends to begin Central Server connections to the remaining TDWR-SPGs the week of 16 February. The “ramp up” of connections will be dependent on the installation of AWIPS OB9 software in advance. b. We plan to complete the connections to all TDWR SPGs by the end of May 2009. Updates will be sent in advance of site connection initiations. 3. Renaming Directories. As mentioned in TIN 08-85, page 4, and the second entry of the TDWR-SPG FAQs, the erroneous WSR-88D product named subdirectories will be corrected by the technology-refreshed RPCCDS. This change will begin 3 February 2009.
