Topic: GOES-11 (GOES-West) East/West Maneuver, November 3, 2009 Message Issued: October 27, 2009, 1430 UTC Satellites Impacted: GOES-11 (GOES-West) and GOES-12 (GOES-East) Products Impacted: GOES-11 (GOES-West) Imager and Sounder Data and GOES-12 (GOES-East) Imager Data Date/Time of Initial Impact: November 3, 2009 0647 UTC -------------------------- Details: A GOES-11 (GOES-West) East-West Station Keeping maneuver will be performed on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 1247 UTC. The backup date for this maneuver is Thursday, November 5, 2009. If the NWS regions have any operational concerns, please contact the NCEP SDM (301-763-8298) at least 6.5 hours prior to the maneuver time. On November 3, the following exclusive schedule will be employed to support maneuver operations: (*PLEASE NOTE the scheduled GOES-12 (GOES-East) Full Disk scan period to support the primary GOES-11 (GOES-West) outage during the maneuver.*) GOES-11 (GOES-West) Maneuver Schedule starts at 0647 UTC on November 3, 2009.
