The NOAA National Weather Service W-9000 upper air system at Albany, NY (WMO# 
72518), will be decommissioned on or about April 9 and installation of the new 
Radiosonde Replacement System (RRS) will begin.  No upper air observations will 
be provided from this office while RRS is being installed.

Beginning April 19, 2010, or shortly thereafter, upper air observations will be 
issued using the RRS and GPS Mark IIA Sippican radiosondes.
