NCO/NCEP HAS HAD DIFFICULTY PROCESSING THE 12Z GLOBAL ENSEMBLE MODEL. SOME OF THE OUTPUT PRODUCED EMPTY FILES.THE NCO PRODUCTION STAFF IS WORKING TO RECOVER MISSING FILES.
GOES SATELLITE OPERATIONS...THE GOES-EAST SATELLITE WILL BE IN RSO MODE FROM 25/1845Z - 26/0145Z TO HELP WITH THE METWATCH FOR SEVERE WEATHER OVER THE UPPER MID-WEST.
THE GOES-WEST SATELLITE WILL BE OPERATED IN RSO MODE FROM 25/1903Z - 26/0333Z TO HELP WITH METWATCH OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS. CRITICAL WEATHER DAY - SPACE SHUTTLE LANDING SUPPORT Critical Weather Day (CWD) period is in place and will be scheduled to expire at 1800z Wednesday May 26, 2009. NCEP, NWSTG, NWS Southern Region and the NCF will participate in this CWD to ensure a reliable flow of data. The CWD is in support of forecast operations concerning the scheduled landing of the Space Shuttle Atlantis around 1236Z May 26, 2010.
