-------- Original Message -------- 121 NOUS41 KWBC 231944 PNSWSH Technical Implementation Notice 11-27 National Weather Service Headquarters Washington DC 350 PM EDT Thu Jun 23 2011 TO: National Weather Service (NWS) Offices Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Customers Family of Services (FOS) Subscribers Other Customers of NWS Aviation Forecasts FROM: Cyndie Abelman Chief, Aviation Services Branch SUBJECT: Implementation of Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF) Service for the Mammoth Yosemite, California Airport (KMMH) Effective September 8, 2011 NOTE: The following changes have no impact on NOAA Weather Wire Service subscribers Effective September 8, 2011 at 1800 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), the NWS Office in Reno, NV, will begin TAF service for the Mammoth Yosemite Airport (KMMH) in Mammoth, CA. Routine and updated TAFS will be issued for this airport 24 hours a day. NWS personnel will need to add the following identifier to their communications systems to receive the new TAF: Airport WMO HeadingAWIPS ID Mammoth Yosemite FTUS45 KREVTAFMMH In addition, the new TAF will be added to the existing TAF collectives below, which are transmitted to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) personnel and other external customers.
