Soliciting Comments and Technical Implementation
Notice 09-41, Modified Turn Off Date for
WSR-88D Low-Resolution Products
This notice is amended to change the date on which NWS will
discontinue the distribution of products in Table 1 below from
February 2012 to December 4, 2012. On that date, NWS will cease
disseminating the radar products listed in Table 1 via the Radar
Product Central Collection Dissemination Service and
SBN/NOAAPORT. This delayed date will provide users of these
products additional time to transition their software to the
higher-resolution products now available.
TABLE 1: WMO Headings for WSR-88D Products that will be
discontinued December 4, 2012.
