This notice provides an update of NWS plans to initiate electroniccollection, distribution and archive of WeatherSurveillance Radar-1988, Doppler (WSR-88D) Level II data ateightadditional DOD WSR-88Ds listed below.

Activation of Level II data collection is expected to begin at someof these sites in March 2013, but definitive activation datescannot be given at this time.The activation at each site willdepend on installation of the WSR-88D dual polarization modification, Radar Product Generator software Build 13.1, and OPSnetcommunication hardware at the associated NWS Weather Forecast Offices.
