on the Removal of NCEPs Legacy Radar Graphics The National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) is seeking comments through April 26, 2013, on a proposal to stop producing the legacy radar summary and radar legend graphics. The radar summary is a graphical depiction of the areal coverage of radar echoes. The radar legend has echo tops and bases, precipitation type, direction of precipitation movement, and echo areal coverage with contours of intensities of radar echoes for VIP levels 1, 3 and 5. These radar products are disseminated via NOAAPORT as Redbook graphics. The WMO headers are PAWO82 KWBC and PAWO83 KWBC.
