SUBJECT: Alaska Aviation Weather Unit to Issue Area 
             Forecast 3 times Per Day Effective October 15, 2013
The following changes have no impact on NOAA Weather Wire Service 
subscribers.
Effective 700 AM Alaska Daylight Time (AKDT), 1500 Coordinated 
Universal Time (UTC) October 15, 2013 the Alaska Aviation Weather
Unit will begin issuing Area Forecasts 3 times per day.

The new issuance times will be 415 AM, 1215 PM, and 815 PM Local
Alaska Time, or 0515 UTC, 1315, and 2115 UTC during standard time
and 0415, 1215, and 2015 UTC during daylight savings time.  The
main body of the Area Forecast will continue to cover 12 hours
from the initial issuance and also include a 12 to 18 hour
outlook.
The Area Forecast WMO headers impacted are:

FAAK49AWU
FAAK57AWU
FAAK58AWU
FAAK59AWU
FAAK68AWU
