Time (EST), 2000 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), one new marine zone will be created within the NWS Tampa Bay Area Florida (TBW) Weather Forecast Office (WFO) area of responsibility. The new zone will provide more accurate forecasts and greater watch, warning, advisory flexibility for marine customers. Specifically, the Charlotte Harbor and Pine Island Sound area will be split from its current marine zone, GMZ856, to become zone GMZ836.
