Island Locations in the Tropical Western Pacific, Effective on or about Tuesday October 22, 2013 On or about Tuesday October 22, 2013, beginning with the 1200 Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) model cycle, the NWS Meteorological Development Laboratory (MDL) will offer new GFS MOS total sky cover and ceiling guidance for 15 stations in the Pacific Ocean to the west of the Hawaiian Islands for short range projections. This guidance will be added to the existing products in text (MAV) and BUFR messages. The communication identifiers are shown below in Tables 1 and 2. Table 1.
