result of the government shutdown The following changes have no impact on NOAA Weather Wire Service subscribersEffective 700 AM Alaska Daylight Time (AKDT), 1500 Coordinated
Universal Time (UTC) November 12, 2013 the Alaska Aviation Weather Unit will begin issuing Area Forecasts 3 times per day.The new issuance times will be 415 AM, 1215 PM, and 815 PM Local
Alaska Time, or 0515 UTC, 1315, and 2115 UTC during standard time and 0415, 1215, and 2015 UTC during daylight savings time. The main body of the Area Forecast will continue to cover 12 hours from the initial issuance and also include a 12 to 18 hour outlook.The Area Forecast WMO headers impacted are: FAAK47AWU
FAAK48AWU FAAK49AWU FAAK57AWU FAAK58AWU FAAK59AWU FAAK68AWUThe Alaska Aviation Weather Unit will continue to issue 4 AIRMETs
