Vogt Director, WSR-88D Radar Operations Center Subject: WSR-88D Software Build 14 Real-Time Level 2 Test Data Will Be Available Between November 18 and December 10, 2013 The NEXRAD Program will implement software changes in Weather Surveillance Radar-1988, Doppler (WSR-88D) Radar Data Acquisition/Radar Product Generator (RDA/RPG) Build 14, that may impact data/product users and user systems. Beta testing of Build 14 will begin in February 2014. The software is scheduled for release starting in April 2014. A summary of the Build 14 changes was provided in TIN 13-4. http://www.nws.noaa.gov/os/notification/tin13-4build14radar.htm Real-time Level 2 data from the Radar Operations Center (ROC) test bed WSR-88D (KCRI) will be available during the Build 14 Operations Test at select periods between November 18 and December 10 2013. You can obtain the data from the NWS Level II Data Collection and Distribution Network Top Tier Sites.
