Hello everyone,
I am pleased to announce that the next PyTroll Contributor Week (PCW)
will be held in Madison, WI, USA this spring. This is the first time
this meeting will be in the western hemisphere! The PCW will be from May
13th to May 17th at the Pyle Center in Madison and is being hosted by
the Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC). PyTroll is an open
source software group that create python tools for working with
earth-observing satellite data like the high-level SatPy library
(https://satpy.readthedocs.io/en/latest/).
The PCW is a gathering of some of the developers of PyTroll tools during
which they address issues and new features in the project and work/code
together. In addition to developing new features some attendees choose
to spend the time incorporating PyTroll tools into their workflows. It
is a great opportunity to learn more about PyTroll, get involved in the
development, and talk with the members of the community. Some experience
with Python is desirable to enjoy the workshop at its full potential.
A preliminary agenda and other information about the meeting can be
