Hi Jerry:
You are using an old version of the server (note the URLs start with
/thredds/ncServer") which only
worked for grib files.
Use the new service as documented in
"http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/projects/THREDDS/tech/reference/NetcdfSubsetService.html"
You will see that the URLs start with "/thredds/ncss/grid"
