I test the both :

So it seams that the directive goes to threadConfig.xml

Subject: [thredds] Turning off static file caching

The TDS configuration documentation states that to turn off static file
caching, the directive is:
<Catalog>
<cache>false</cache>
</Catalog>
Does this directive go in threddsConfig.xml, or in the catalog(s) themselves?
Thanks,
Bob D.
