This is particularly strange since the 4.5.3 release was announced as
stable on Sep 12, but on the ftp site
(ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/thredds/4.5/) there is no 4.5.3
directory (as you mentioned), but there is a 4.5.4 directory with a
date of Sep 5.
