The questions from Maohai are not the least bit insulting.
In fact, it is very flattering that he is making such an
effort to understand the system and to answer the criticisms
within his organization.
A decision to use VisAD will be a big commitment of their
resources and they are entitled to ask probing questions.
It is best to maintain cordial relations with users, with
people who chose not to use, and with people producing
competing systems.
