Hopefully NCEP can authoritatively comment, but I'd bet it is related to this 
work that is happening this morning (pushed back from the 9th).

***RFC 12862 - On July 9, NCO/NSB will be performing impactful maintenance
on the network that will impact connectivity in College Park while hardware is
replaced. A detailed breakdown of the impact is listed below. In the event of
CWD, this migration will be postponed.
● Maintenance Date/Time:
○ Start Date-Time: July 9, 0700Z
○ Stop Date-Time: July 9, 2100Z
● Impact Window:
○ 0700Z to 0715Z - Intermittent network instability
○ 1000Z to 1100Z - College Park unreachable - Hard down
○ 1500Z to 1515Z - Intermittent network instability
○ 1515Z to 2100Z - Testing and Troubleshooting
Internet traffic for all WFOs, RFCs, CWSUs and Remote Centers will be available
via the Boulder TICAP, but will experience a brief 5 minute service interruption
when this traffic fails over to Boulder. All data and services that travel 
through
the College Park Data Center will be unavailable during the maintenance
downtime and instability periods identified above. NCO sent a message on June
13 about this impending work to NWS personnel and will continue with user
notifications to keep all informed of progress or delays.

Starting at 1245Z, the MRMS composite reflectivity mosaics from Alaska & Hawaii 
are empty (all pixels are “missing”). Is there a communication issue with the 
radars from these domains?
