20030212: AVN / MRF / GFS data
- Subject: 20030212: AVN / MRF / GFS data
- Date: Wed, 12 Feb 2003 21:28:40 -0700
Eric,
GRIB data defines a number in the PDS data block which identifies the model.
At this point, NCEP is still producing AVN and MRF grib model ids from the GFS
run
to be compatible with their legacy code. An announcement will be made by the
data
management group at NWS if and when they plan to change their model identifiers.
