Steve,
After exhuative pings and traceroutes and help from several people
it looks like that the NASA connections are just plain bad sometimes,
but the connection from psnldm to cyclone.atmo.arizona.edu is
always bad, while the connection from wxmcidas to cyclone seems
to be very good almost all of the time, so I have asked Mike Leuthold
to change psnldm to wxmcidas and I will then send the feed on to psnldm.
