NOAA is searching for a Regional Operations Service Meteorologist to work at the National Weather Service (NWS), Pacific Region (PR) Environmental Scientific and Services Division, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The Meteorologist selected for this position will:
- Serve as principal interface between the NWS Pacific Region Headquarters, NWS Headquarters, partners and the field.
- Lead efforts to ensure the evaluation, adjustment and improvement of products and services.
- Be responsible for planning, coordinating and carrying out the public awareness programs with the field which educates the public to ensure the mitigation of death, injury and property damage/loss caused by severe weather events.
- Provide guidance, direction, instruction and assistance to the field and management in office operations.
