ncWMS in Environmental Modelling and Software
ncWMS is an Open Source implementation of the Open Geospatial Consortium's Web Map Service (WMS) specification for multidimensional gridded environmental data. ncWMS can read data in a large number of common scientific data formats — notably the NetCDF format with the Climate and Forecast (CF) conventions — and efficiently generate map imagery in thousands of different coordinate reference systems.
NetCDF operators (NCO) version 4.3.2
Version 4.3.2 of the netCDF Operators (NCO) has been released. NCO is an Open Source package that consists of a dozen standalone, command-line programs that take netCDF files as input, then operate (e.g., derive new data, average, print, hyperslab, manipulate metadata) and output the results to screen or files in text, binary, or netCDF formats.
GOES-12 to be Decommissioned in August 2013
The Unidata Program Center has received notification that NOAA's Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite GOES-12 (currently in the GOES-South position, formerly covering the GOES-East position) will be decommissioned on August 16, 2013.

Version 4.3.3 of the netCDF Operators (NCO) has been released. Valparaiso University prepares for AWIPS II
The Valparaiso University Meteorology program strives to keep current with meteorological technologies so students can maximize their educational opportunities. Valparaiso University's Meteorology program was awarded a 2012 Community Equipment Award grant to allow it to serve as a test school for the deployment of AWIPS II. Because our program has limited resources and infrastructure support, we provide an ideal “small school” test case for the deployment of AWIPS II.

I think "NetCDF operators (NCO) version 4.3.2" must be "NetCDF operators (NCO) version 4.3.4".

Two versions of NCO -- 4.3.2 and 4.3.3 -- came out in July and are mentioned in the July summary. We'll have a post announcing version 4.3.4, which just came out, shortly.

Oops, I was confused. The old news item is at the top. So, I think NCO 4.3.2 is correct.
