Version 4.4.6 of the netCDF Operators (NCO) has been released. NCO is an Open Source package that consists of a dozen standalone, command-line programs that take netCDF files as input, then operate (e.g., derive new data, average, print, hyperslab, manipulate metadata) and output the results to screen or files in text, binary, or netCDF formats.
2015 Unidata Users Workshop: Save the Date
The Unidata Users Committee invites you to join Unidata staff, community members, and guests for a community workshop to take place in 21-26 June 2015 in Boulder, Colorado.
This will be the Unidata community's fifth triennial workshop. The Unidata Users Committee is currently planning the 2015 event, but we encourage community members to save the date. Updates will be provided via e-mail, posts on the News@Unidata blog, and on the 2015 Unidata Users Workshop web page as planning progresses.
On the Developer's Blog
Unidata Program Center developers write regularly on technical topics on the Unidata Developer's Blog. Numerous recent articles by John Caron have dealt with converting GRIB files to netCDF-4 format — interesting stuff!
