The Atmospheric Science Group in the Department of
Geosciences at Texas Tech University seeks applications for
a full time, non-tenure-track Research Assistant Professor
within the Mesoscale Modeling research group. The successful
applicant will broadly work in the areas of probabilistic
numerical weather prediction and ensemble data assimilation,
with a focus on transitioning state-of-the-art forecasting
products into the operational Texas Tech Ensemble Prediction
System (TTEPS). Evaluation of candidates will begin February
1, 2016 and will continue until the position is filled. A
start date as soon as February 2016 is possible. A Ph.D. is
required at the time of appointment.
