Isabelle Pfander

Izzy (Isabelle) Pfander joined the Unidata Program Center as a software development summer intern on May 17, 2021. She completed a double-major in Computer Science and Environmental Science from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon in May, and is planning to begin graduate school in the fall of 2022.

Connor Cozad

Connor Cozad joined the Unidata Program Center as a software development summer intern on May 17, 2021. He is a rising junior studying data science and meteorology at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina.

Lydia Bunting

Lydia Bunting joined the Unidata Program Center as a software development summer intern on May 17, 2021. She completed a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Oklahoma State University in the spring of 2020, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Atmospheric Science at Texas Tech University.

Nicole Corbin

Nicole Corbin joined the Unidata Program Center on February 1st, 2021 as an Educational Designer. Prior to joining Unidata, Nicole created learning content and educational experiences for technical support staff at Esri focusing on desktop GIS, Microsoft Windows administration, Python, and customer service. Nicole is passionate about instructional design and is always keeping up on the latest in learning sciences. Her professional interests include adult learning theories, inquiry-based learning, and modular/micro-learning.

Although she's been working in the GIS sector for the past five years, Nicole's background is in meteorology. She received both her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Meteorology from North Carolina State University. It was there that she first became interested in discipline-based education research and pedagogy, and was able to experiment with creating educational content for university students. Her very first educational module covered hail growth processes. Now, at Unidata, she is excited to continue creating learning and outreach content for the greater Earth systems science community.

The Unidata Program Center is hiring! We are looking for a scientific software developer to join our team in creating and maintaining software and data services to support the geosciences.

We are looking for a software developer to help us help our community of scientists access the Earth system science data that fuels their research. You'll have a chance work with a great team at the Unidata Program Center and and enthusiastic open source community to test, maintain, and develop Unidata software projects, focusing on our open source efforts related to the Unidata's Local Data Manager (LDM) software package and community use of the LDM via the Internet Data Distribution (IDD) system.
