Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
We have developed an on-the-fly HDF-EOS -> NetCDF/CF1 converter for the following AIRS products, making them easier to use in IDV.* AIRS Level 2 (scene) profiles of moisture, air temperature and trace gases * AIRS Level 3 (global grid) profiles of moisture, air temperature and trace gases
In addition to AIRS, other data sets that can be converted to NetCDF are:
* OMI UV-B at the surface * TOMS ozone and aerosols Instructions on searching and converting these data are at: http://disc.gsfc.nasa.gov/services/NetCDFConversionforIDVandMcIDAS-V.shtml More information on AIRS products is available at: http://disc.gsfc.nasa.gov/AIRS/index.html Coming Soon: OMI ozone and aerosols for IDV via OPeNDAP -- Christopher Lynnes Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center NASA/GSFC, Code 610.2
