Thanks John. Programmatic use is what we had in mind. Am I correct
form reading over the pages that we also must have a "Data
Description" XML document. Does that need to be in any particular
place.
Several of the links on the pages associated with that are broken,
such as:
http://motherlode.ucar.edu:9080/thredds/ncss/grid/fmrc/NCEP/NAM/
CONUS_80km/NCEP-NAM-CONUS_80km_best.ncd/dataset.html
which is referenced from:
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/projects/THREDDS/tech/interfaceSpec/
GridDataSubsetService.html
Right now it is something we just want to experiment with on our
internal server. I expect in a short while we will have Java code
that can output to other formats - perhaps it would be of some use.

We are still trying to get this documented etc. It replaces the

You have to enable it in threddsConfig.xml, and add it as a service
to your catalog, just like WCS. Its really intended for
programmatic usage, but we are generating an HTML interface also.
The file writing is rather slow, i want to improve that before it
gets too much use.
we will try to get it documented in the next few weeks...

Hi:
I just stumbled onto the "NetCDF Subset Service Reference" aspect
of THREDDS. What is unclear from the page:
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/projects/THREDDS/tech/interfaceSpec/
NetcdfSubsetService.html
is if this is automatically implemented when we implement THREDDS
or if we have to add this as an additional service when we set up
our TDS just like you do for WCS? If it is the latter, I can not
find where the instructions are for doing that, and would
appreciate it if you could point me to that.
